Review of When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, with help of EssayPro.com she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?
Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself. When it comes to essays, nursing essay writing by essayservice.com has never been easier.

The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not?

Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.  (Summary from GoodReads)

If you have not read When Dimple Met Rishi run—don’t walk—to your nearest bookstore and get a copy.  I love reading about other cultures and was intrigued by the story of an arranged marriage.  Menon’s debut was adorable and hilarious and perfect for anyone who loved Anna and the French Kiss.

I adore Dimple.  She knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after her.  I also loved watching her balancing the parts of her heritage that she loved versus traditions she didn’t love.  Rishi is literally the most adorable character, and I loved watching him come into this own.  It was incredible watching how the two teens advocated for each other and encouraged the other to pursue their passions.  I love that Menon shows a healthy teenage relationship where the two characters bring out the best in each other.

I grabbed When Dimple Met Rishi over the weekend I knew I’d be getting engaged because I wanted a fun read. This book completely delivered.   Even though Seth and I were traveling to spend time together and with is family, I constantly wanted to pick this book up because the plot was so fast-paced and fun.   I cared a lot about the characters and how everything worked out for them.  Also, have I mentioned that this book is hilarious?

This is more of a gush than a review.  What can I say?  This book delivered everything I wanted and more. Anyone looking for a fun, diverse, romantic story will adore Menon's debut.
