Of Read-A-Thons and R.A.K.s

Hey everyone! I'm using today's post to give you all two random updates.

As you all know, Dewey's 24 Hour Read-A-Thon was this weekend, and I was a participant. As you can see, I didn't do any mini-challenges or update throughout. This is in part because I didn't want to clog up everyone's RSS feeds. However, I also spent 5 hours Saturday afternoon volunteering at my local humane society.

That said, I still squeezed in ten solid hours of reading. I finished Possession by A.S. Byatt, read all of If I Stay by Gayle Forman, read a story from The Vampyre and Other Tales and an essay from The Girl Who Was On Fire. I also started Heist Society by Ally Carter. My reviews of Possession and If I Stay will be up in the coming weeks.

I also wanted to post about all of the wonderful Random Acts of Kindness I got during the month of March. Random Acts of Kindness is hosted by Book Soulmates. For more info, click here.

Here are all of the awesome R.A.K.s I got during the month of March!

Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates (Thanks to Joli of Actin' Up With Books!)
Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta (Thanks to Lori of Pure Imagination!)
Ballads of Suburbia by Stephanie Kuehnert (Thanks to Jen of Extreme Reader Book Reviews!)
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys Bookmark (Thanks to Ivy of Ivy's Updates!)
How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff (Not pictured.) (Thanks to Enna of Squeaky Books!)
