Hollow City Book Trailer

Hey guys!  As a lot of you know, Hollow City, the sequel to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, releases on January , 2014.  To prepare yourselves for its release, take a peak at the trailer.

I'm a pretty big fan of this trailer, I have to say.   The production quality is really high.  When I watch movies, I often complain that the music or sound effects are so loud that I can't hear dialogue.  The sounds here are creepy without overpowering the boy's actions.  In terms of camera work, the close-ups and farther away shots are all perfectly timed.  I also like the bit at the very end.

What do you think of the trailer?  Do you plan to read Hollow City once it releases?

  1. Just as good, or better, as the first book! I can't believe how much I am loving this series. Hollow City had a faster pace and more action, lots of mysteries being unraveled. The ending left me smiling ear to ear with anticipation for Library of Souls, which I bought ahead of time and am about to dive right into!

  2. A thoroughly engaging book with an incredible amount of detail regarding the different places the children visited with a good amount of character development and plenty of action. There is some romance but nothing inappropriate for younger middle grade readers. The density of the text though makes it most appropriate for skilled readers. The ending left me eager to get my hands on future books.
